Fluid treatment

A valve at CarboTech.
Multiple ways of treating fluids
As well as water, many other liquids also need to be filtered. Applications are mainly in the food and beverage industries. Oil mills, for example, have to safely remove carcinogenic substances that may be produced during manufacturing of consumer products. Spirit producers often want to extract certain fusel alcohols from their spirits without altering the taste. And international lemonade and fruit juice producers often face the challenge of making their products taste the same all over the world at all times. There is a solution to each one of these challenges: activated carbons from CarboTech!
Pinpointing the right activated carbon for you
We’ll be happy to test your source water in our own laboratories, set the target figures in conjunction with you, and prepare our activated carbons in such a way that they deliver the desired result over the long term – for example by carrying out impregnation at our own facilities in Essen and monitoring it continuously by our labs. This means that, unlike many competitors, we can keep on supplying consistently high-quality activated carbons which last much longer than many competing products.
Ready to help with speciality products
And that’s not all – our expertise means we’re able to help with speciality requirements too. Take decaffeination, for example. Caffeine is a valuable material, but is essentially a waste product in the production of decaffeinated coffee. Before it can be sold, though, it has to be separated from the extraction solution – no easy task unless you have the right activated carbon to hand.
With our help, however, this is not a problem, and we’ll be happy to create a tailored solution that meets your requirements spot-on. The same goes for the pharmaceutical industry, where activated carbon must not be allowed to release any ion other than sodium. Meeting this requirement calls for real expert knowledge, which we can offer you – even when it comes to tasks like decolorising liquid substrates.
Feel free to contact our sales staff and let them advise you – we’ll be happy to help!
