Hydrogen is considered the “fuel of the future” and more and more countries – including Germany – are pursuing a hydrogen strategy. Activated carbon is used for the recovery and purification of hydrogen from various waste gases from industry, such as refineries or petrochemical plants.

One of the most widely used techniques for the recovery and purification of hydrogen is “pressure swing adsorption“, in which the raw gas mixture is adsorbed and desorbed in different cycles. CarboTech offers activated carbon products for this type of hydrogen purification.
