The Essen-based CarboTech Group (CarboTech) is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality powdered, granulated and extruded activated carbons for a wide variety of applications. As part of the company’s ambitious growth plan, CarboTech is set to expand its current market presence even further and has chosen to do so, with immediate effect, in entering into a partnership with a world-leading specialty chemicals distributor for the following thirteen European countries: Azelis has been appointed as the exclusive distributor of CarboTech’s entire product portfolio in the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Turkey, Central Europe, Russia, Poland, Spain, and Portugal. Azelis is a leading distributor of specialty chemicals and food ingredients present in over 50 countries across the globe with around 2,200 employees.
Whether for air, gas, hydrogen, water or wastewater purification, treatment of liquids, or carbon molecular sieves – CarboTech’s activated carbon products are known and appreciated worldwide. It is not without reason that the Essen-based company in the heart of the German Ruhr conurbation is one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality powdered, granulated and extruded activated carbons.
To attract even more B2B customers in Europe to what the company has to offer, CarboTech has now entered into an exclusive partnership across thirteen European countries. With immediate effect, Azelis, a global innovation service provider, will be the exclusive distributor of CarboTech’s entire activated carbon portfolio in the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Turkey, Central Europe, Russia, Poland, Spain, and Portugal.

The integrated supply chain ensures sophisticated, reliable logistical support. Another big plus is that the Azelis teams have the flexibility and market knowledge to respond to each customer on an individual basis. This ability will support CarboTech’s ambition to also approach B2B customers pro-actively in the food, energy, chemicals industry, and other sectors. Through its extensive network of more than 60 application laboratories across the world, Azelis can also support CarboTech with custom formulations, product testing, and regulatory compliance. Their expert teams moreover anticipate market trends and work proactively to offer innovative solutions to new needs.
“We are thrilled that CarboTech has entrusted us with this mandate. This product line is a great extension of our current performance chemicals product portfolio and we are very excited to offer it to many of our EMEA customers,” said Marnik Tack, Market Segment Director for Performance Chemicals EMEA at Azelis upon the announcement of the two companies’ partnership. And Cansu Dilmen, Head of International Sales at CarboTech, added, “We are convinced that Azelis is the right partner for the exclusive distribution of our high-quality products in United Kingdom, Ireland, Nordics, Turkey, Central Europe, Russia, Poland, Spain, and Portugal. The partnership with them is one of our important building blocks in our strategy to establish and expand our presence in the countries mentioned. To this end, we will benefit from Azelis’ expanding market presence, their extensive market knowledge, and their centralized approach. As one of the world’s leading manufacturers of activated carbon, we are looking forward to working and growing together with Azelis,” Dilmen concluded.
